This National Day, we invite all QT residents to participate in our photojournalism journey and colouring contests to help document the rich heritage of our town. Queenstown is Singapore's oldest satellite HDB town, and is one with a rich history in many aspects. We invite all QT residents to come forward to join us in this online activity to help document the unique QT culture.

Depending on your age group, you may choose to participate in either of the two categories below
PHOTOJOURNALISM COMPETITION
A picture speaks more than a thousand words. Every day in QT, we see spaces, people and food, and these are special to each and every one of us in different ways. We want to hear from you, what your story is. Is there a place in QT that brings back special memories for you? Or a person you know in QT that has special significance to your life? Document this with a well taken photo, and a simple write-up detailing the significance of the photo to you.
To participate, simply submit a picture of your choice in any of the 3 following themes, accompanied by a write-up of not more than 500 words, explaining the story behind the picture.
This is an open category for all ages
Prizes: Champion from each category stand to win an Apple AirPod!
SPACES
We spend time in wonderful spaces in QT. Many memories are forged at our homes, the community areas, and more. Are there spaces in QT that holds fold memories for you?
COLOURING CONTEST
Get creative and colour QT in your own perspective & choice of medium.
For children age under 12, you may colour using your choice of crayons, colouring pencils or water colours. You can download the colouring template from this website (scroll down!) or pick up from Leng Kee CC from 5 Aug 2021 onwards. Coloured entries can be submitted to Leng Kee CC by 5 Sep 2021
Prizes: 1st Prize = S$150 worth of vouchers; 2nd Prize = S$100 worth of vouchers; 3rd Prize = S$50 worth of vouchers; Consolation Prizes = Colouring Set

Besides the 2 competitions above, we will be organising virtual events on photojournalism through the month of August 2021. Stay tuned, watch this space for more updates!
04 how to participate
PHOTOJOURNALISM COMPETITION
Registration for the photojournalism competition will start 5 Aug, entries can be submitted through the month of Aug and the competition closes 20 Sep 2021. More details on how you can submit your photo & journal entries will be released on this space closer to 5 Aug 2021!
What you need to submit:

A high-res picture (minimum 1080p) of your choice in either one of the three themes

A write up explaining the story of the picture

An Instagram post with your picture and write up with a hashtag #visionsofqt
The Champion from each category will win a pair of Apple Air Pods.
Photos will the most likes on IG will stand to win some prizes too! (Up to S$50 worth of vouchers for each winner, details to be released)
COLOURING CONTEST
The colouring templates can be downloaded from the links below, or printed copies can be picked up from Leng Kee Community Centre. Participants should colour the template creatively and submit completed entries to Leng Kee Community Centre by 20 Sep 2021.
